Used a diagonal die set (6) to paper piece the patriotic background, with coordinating papers and stickers.
For the Play Challenge, this technique of paper piecing with diagonals is something I've done before I found the die (which makes it much easier!). I typically do the 'baby block quilt' design to get a 3D effect. I use rubber cement to adhere the pieces because it's re-positionable and also I can go back and remove the excess glue. It takes a while but it's one of my 'go to' techniques when I feel like playing!
