I had completely forgotten about flying kites - you just brought back a sweet childhood memory - making and flying kits with my dad. You scrapped this beautifully and I love the way you used the arrow to show the kite!
Oh, my goodness that kite is super high! We don't get winds like that here. I've always wanted to be able to fly one really high. I really love all of the elements on this page. The green strips of journaling in the "grass" are awesome.
What a stunning photo!! And your layout is just beautiful - LOVE the die cut kite and how you did the green-on-green journaling strips. Very neat looking, I'll have to remember that for a future layout.
Such a peaceful and beautiful photo of the sky with the tiny kite high up in the clouds with the snow capped mountain in the background. Your cute little kite was a perfect sweet touch.
I used to make kites and fly them all the time as a kid. That is one thing I have never done with my grandkids. Your lo remained me of a perfect summer day. Love the journaling on the grass.
I love them too but I never was successful at flying them, in other words never got one up! Loving the journaling spot and how you journaled across the blades of grass!
What a great memory to save for her and her dad.
How fun Nylene, I love the photo and arrow. The theme is cute. I remember as kids trying to fly kits, running our little legs until we just realized that kite wasn't going to fly today
I just love your layout. It is pretty, heartwarming and inspirational. The kite diecut is the perfect accent for your page. How clever of you to use the song. Oh great...now I have that song in my head. Hahaha!
Such a cheerful, bright and sunny page! The beauty of the spring day in the photo is seamlessly continued onto the page. Adding the lyrics to the song was a brilliant touch. Can't help but sing it as I read them! I love your title. The white pops against the beautiful blue background. Every detail is wonderfully done!
Our granddaughter has always loved kites. She waits for the big winds in Spring to get out and fly hers. For Hoarders Challenge: Very old cardstocks and scraps for the kite. For Journaling: 50+ words and some strip journaling
