Sharing a card I made that is a partial lift of a card our sweet friend Marylou (Meggie's Nana) made awhile back. Just added a few of my own touches.

First, special thanks to Beth (my pocket letter swap partner last July) for the lovely wooden tag that I heat embossed with Stampendous Shabby Pink Enamel and then rubbed a bit of TH Vintage Photo ink pad on to tone it down a bit, and to Carri (Caletts) for the gorgeous Wow! Vintage Peacock embossing powder I used on the wings of the butterfly.

I made the card using Stamperia's Dream collection. The doily is one I had altered a long time ago and was in my stash. I used TH Worn Lipstick around the edges and Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold spray mist. It is hard to see in the picture. The large flower is Prima and the small flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Corner butterfly is Beautiful Board from Reneabouquets. Gold microbeads are also RB. To emboss the leaves and butterfly wings in different powders I used the Versamark Watermark Pen on the leaves first, embossed, and then on the wings and embossed. I got that pen at Hobby Lobby and just love it for using to emboss small details.

Oh yes, on the stamping, I didn't want to use solid black because I felt it would be too stark. I don't have a good grey ink pad so I stamped on TH Black Soot first, then Walnut Stain and stamped them together for the stitches and phrase on the tag. Worked like a charm!

The bow on the tag was made from burlap strands I saved instead of throwing away when I made some wispy flowers!

Thank you so much for visiting my gallery.
