I love this! It is such a cool way to share just what you had to endure through your childhood and how much your mom cared to spend that time putting your hair in curlers. It is raw and real. Nothing like a true mom moment. I love that you chopped it all off as a teen. I always had short hair growing up because my dad wouldn't allow long hair, so now as an adult I refuse to go back short lol. Love your fun design girl!!!! fave for me
I remember those sponge rollers! My straight hair would stay curly for days after, lol.
Love the clean look of this page where the photo stands out. Nice memory and TFS!
LOL, you rebel, you!! I only had to sleep with curlers a few times in my life however, my mom rolled her hair every single night before bed until about 6 years ago. Growing up, I thought that's what I had to look forward to! Love your page for this not-so-pleasant ritual!
I also slept with curlers in my hair! so that I wouldn't have "wrinkles"...those days long gone-it hurt! LOVE that you did this page! I don't think I have any curler pics!!!!
That's the back of my head with my mom, we must have been doing something with my younger sister, which would make me 6 or 7 in this photo.
Journaling: Growing up my hair was boring brown, long, and straight. Every special occasion and Saturday nights (for church) I slept with curlers in my hair. I never knew I had a choice until I became a rebel teen and cut my hair short in a pixie style. No more curlers for me.
