For my 50th Birthday DH and I went to Costa Rica for 6 nights. We stayed at the Peace Lodge/La Paz Waterfalls Gardens and then did a day trip to their sister property; The Springs Resort. This place was just Awesome. I couldn't have picked a better destination for this memorable time.

The Peace Lodge is set in a Rain/Cloud Forest. It's a true romantic boutique hotel that consists of 18 Casitas with views of the Poas Volcano and their Wildlife Park. The rooms have an amazing bathroom with a rock Jacuzzi bathtub set in front of a real running waterfall. It also has a large shower as well as a open garden shower with a rain shower spray and waterfall feature. The balcony overlooks the grounds and volcano with a hammock and another rock Jacuzzi. There are hummingbird feeders on every balcony that the hummingbirds use constantly. It was so peaceful and relaxing just to sit on the balcony and stare at the gorgeous view and the hummingbirds.

The property consists of an Aviary, Butterfly Garden, Hummingbird Garden, Frog Garden, a small zoo sanctuary and a trout lake where you can actually fish. All the animals on the property are rescues.

The La Paz Waterfall Gardens consist of 7 waterfalls. It's a trek to get to them and then we had to go up/down 900 steps to see all of them, but it was so worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

The Springs Resort has an amazing pool with swim up bar and waterfall feature. The property also has 11 Hot Springs pools with various temperatures for relaxing.

This was one of the best trips we have done so far and we will definitely being going back to Costa Rica in the future.

This collage layout gives a small peek of all the things the Peace Lodge has to offer.
