My first page with bargello!! I've shown this page to 2 people in real life, and neither one of them at first realized that those are individual strips of paper that I cut and glued to make the design: I guess they thought it was all one big background!! This was HARD, very challenging, and took me hours, but I loved doing it and loved the way it turned out! I always thought bargello pages looked so pretty, and wanted to try one myself! I tucked the journaling under the photo to reflect the spirit of the bargello and decided to anchor it with "mismatched" flip-flop brads: I think it gives it a whimsical feel! I deliberately also used large blocks of the yellow paper @ the corners of my 12" page in order to try to give it a matted-photo feel.
