Our sons and their friends having a LAN party in our basement. LAN actually stands for Local Area Network, but for this, I made it Local Area Nerds. I tried to create an underground feel by paper piecing the house up top with some trees, grass, stars, moon, etc and then the underground done in brown.

Journaling reads: "When Joshua and Adam were in their teens, LAN (local area network) parties were the thing... and our boys wanted so badly to go to one. Since we live in a smaller town, their options were very limited. So, they decided to throw their own. They invited several friends to come over and bring their computers with them and then proceeded to convert our basement to accommodate their game night. They had a great time that night - starting with dinner on the deck, then some gaming, and then a little poker on the pool table. I LOVE my little nerds!!! Russell, Laura, Joseph, Todd, Ryan, Adam and Joshua - July 2006"

12 years later, they are all still good friend and get together often, except for Laura(moved out of state) and Todd (sadly, passed away a few years after this in an auto accident).
