My first heritage page, a family photo from 1947. Since there isn't a lot of red and green in the photo, I decided to ix-nay it for background colors as well. Instead, I chose blue to reflect a main color in the photo, and threaded blue/yellow ribbon in the matting to echo the yellow in the photo. All in all, it turned out the way I hoped it would! I did the journaling on a cowboy boot I cut out by hand to match the little Gene Autry outfit :)
