Photo of me, my two brothers, and one of my younger sisters. The wood paper is EP and the word paper is a scrap of the same EP papers. I scanned in the word paper and used the colors to create the striped paper and also used the same colors to create the title work in the Silhouette program. The plow is a photo I found online. I cut it out four times and layered it for dimension. The little orange tag was part of the same EP ppr and is popped up with foam tape. I made the border at the bottom with silhouettes of different animals and cut it in black card stock with the Cameo. The scalloped borders that are in black were punched with an old EK Success punch. I added Nuvo drops to the black scallops. I also added three brads to the edge of the word paper. Journaling is tucked behind the striped piece and pulls out with the black scalloped piece at the top. Journaling reads:

This photo brings back lots of memories of days gone by. Pictured from left to right is Karen, Susan, Randy, and Mike. Don’t know for sure when the photo was taken but it was probably 1956 or 1957. The dog you can see on the steps is our dog, Jitterbug. I believe she was a rat terrier, and she was very protective of all of us. We lived out in the “country” and probably had 3+ acres of land. We always had a huge garden and lots of animals. We played outside all day (and in the summer we stayed outside until after dark), drank from the water hose, got filthy dirty…and enjoyed every minute of it. We wore hand me down clothes and shoes and didn’t think anything about it (until we got to be teenagers!) Our family didn’t own a television, so our imaginations were well developed. We always had numerous animals …be it dogs, cats, pigs, horses, goats, chickens, geese, quail…the list is endless. There was always plenty to do work-wise, but we learned early on to get outside to play before Mama or Daddy could put us to work.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
