POLISHED STONE: I made the polished stone background a long time ago. I'm not sure if I used Ranger or Piñata alcohol inks. I did use Ranger's Gold Mixative. This is one of the few times it dispersed in small droplets of gold all over the card although it doesn't really show up in the photograph.
After watching Jennifer McGuire's video on Alcohol Inks and Ghost Stamping, I pulled out this old polished stone background to see if I could do ghost stamping on it. Jennifer used Archival Ink, but I only had the old, great big, over-sized pad so I tried Staz-on. I knew from experience that it will remove alcohol ink. I used the Misti stamp positioner so I could stamp more than once. Well, the Staz-on did not remove the old alcohol ink. So I tried the old Archival Ink pad. It was really dry, and it didn't remove the ink either. I guess you need to do this technique with a freshly-inked background.
Back to the drawing board. I inked up the stamp with Versafine Onyx Black, stamped it, and heat embossed it. Done. TFL. Daria
