I had been wanting to do a layout for the longest time using these pictures of my three guys in their cowboy hats, boots and guns but I couldn't find the pictures until about a week or so ago when I ran across them on a CD! I was tickled pink! These were taken about 2004 when my youngest, Dan, was 10, and Sam was 12. I love how it turned out!

Background paper is Paper Studio's Wood Fence and I distressed it up and used Vintage Photo around the edges. I used solid brown cardstock underneath from DCWV to give it stability.

Under the sign I made is a wood shaving from Sam, as well as spent shell casings that were in too poor of shape to reload and some extra primers he had. For the "gun powder" I used silver microbeads from Reneabouquets that I colored with Tim Holtz Slate alcohol ink! Sam also gave me the brown zig-zag packaging I have mixed in with the moss at the bottom of the wood windmill (from HL). On the windmill I inked it up with TH Vintage Photo and Pumice Stone and then used clear embossing powder over it.

Buttons and metal cabochons from my stash. Pinecone, star and pistol charms from Hobby Lobby. Metal cowboy hat was from my best friend, Susie, who gave it to me specifically for a layout with Sam in it! Sam still wears boots and cowboy hat but you wouldn't catch Dan in either anymore! LOL Of course, my husband still wears them too!

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look!
