This blue altered box is a gift for someone who loves vintage things and appreciates paper crafts. I started with an ordinary cardboard gift box about 5x5”. I layered pink, blue, and white paint to make it shabby. I used a combination of new and vintage embellishments. The hand embroidered hankie corners, glass leaves and brooch are vintage. I feel good about giving this embroidery a second life because it was so thin and full of holes. I pinned the Brooch so that it could be detached easily if desired. The laces are new. I used Pion Songbirds Secret paper to cover the inside. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The little blue rose embellishment on the side is ceramic. The bottom is also covered in paper and I added little feet.
