Most definitely not a blobby mess! I know the wonderful things that TH alcohol inks do & this is way cool! Love the embossing, papers, & the gears so perfect for your brother. I haven't played with the inks in awhile guess I should. I like the idea of using foil, was it regular or heavy duty?:)
Catchy title, huh?! LOL My youngest brother, who is three years older than me, is a diesel mechanic and I thought this would be a good card for him. I took a piece of scrap foil, folded it over some Tim Holtz packaging from my stash and taped it down to the backside. I then ran it through my Darice Steampunk embossing folder. Then, I used several different alcohol inks on it and let them run all over. I know, it looks like a blobby mess, but I kinda like it. I backed it with Prima's Epiphany paper and for the card base I used DCWV's Tattered Time. I was excited when I found the gears paper in that stack! I diecut two of the sentiments from DCWV's 6x6 metallics paper pad to make it look shadowed, so to speak. The gear buttons I've had for awhile and can't remember if I got them at Joann's or Walmart.
