This was a very special moment 4 years in the making for my son. He was just 2 months old when the space shuttle Endeavor flew for her final time, in August 2012 on the back of a commercial jet plane. My friend and I packed up our babies and drove the 4 short miles to a hill overlooking JPL where the jet would make a pass on its fairwell tour of California before landing with the Endeavor at LAX. And then a complicated and exciting series of publicity and coordination to deliver the Endeavor to its final home, at the California Science Center in south LA (across from USC). It was an amazing experience, one my son of course doesn't remember.

Four years later, we took the kids to CSC for their first glimpse of Endeavor at her home there in a custom built hangar. He was enthralled as witnessed by the look on his face. Who wouldn't be though? It's mind boggling to stand under that shuttle and just stare at it's impressive enormous size and to realize, this has been in space. Such an amazing adventure!

So this was for my June Monthly Sketch challenge, week 1, which I obviously didn't make, but it's also for my June Music Inspiration challenge, which I'm (gasp) not late for! I was given the song from Arteshamac, “The Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran, one of my faves! I was inspired by the line “Everyday something new to discover” and included the line and the “discover” on the page. The twist was to use the shape included in the song. Well mine was the word shape so I got to pick my own! I've always wanted to try the triangle sketches so when I saw June's first sketch, I was in. The problem as always was finding the time! So here it is, on the last day, my Music entry!
