Five days ago I was working near my flower garden and noticed a brilliant, bright yellow object on the ground. Turned out to be a Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly. I ran inside to grab my IPad to take photos and noticed when I returned that he had not moved from his previous position. I was worried he was dead, and just then he flapped his wings. My sig other noticed he was missing an antenna and carried him to our screen enclosure so he would be safe from predators. He put sugar water on a sponge and set him on the sponge, hoping he'd eat, but instead he awkwardly flew around the enclosure and fell into the pool. Mt hero rescued him and eventually the butterfly calmed down. The next day it had passed on. So I made a THANK YOU card for My sweetheart, from the butterfly, thanking him for his help in his final days.
