My first time experimenting with a quilt pattern! The Dec/Jan color challenge inspired me to do something special with this old family photo of my great-grandmother (a.k.a Nonna) and her first 3 grandchildren, c. 1944. There are 5 different kinds of white/cream/ivory paper on this page: everything from a very thick, shimmery corrugated paper (see the triangles at the corners) to an incredibly thin vellum that was pretty hard to cut (the rectangular lace with the ivory filagree). I added ivory paper posies to give the page even more of a soft, delicate feel, and made the bifold envelope from leftover paper from the photo matting.
