I decided instead of letting my son's junior ranger badges continue to collect dust on the corner of my desk, I would actually do something with them. He's 15 now and it would be SO embarrassing if we had him get more badges, so he's done acquiring any more of them. I already owned a shadow box frame that would hold a 12 x 12 piece of paper, so I decided to make a layout out of them.
My husband bent the stick pin part of each badge so that they could be removed. Once the pins were gone, they still had a bump on the one side. So I used the foam squares two deep on each badge so they would all sit flat on the page.
