Documenting the nuclear missile scare that turned out to be a false alarm was something I have been wanting to do since it happened back in January of this year, but it always felt too soon. Even though I finally felt ready to do it this summer, it was still difficult and emotional. What we felt may have been due to a false alarm, but while it was happening, it was real.
