I made this 4”x4” altered tin as a gift for Dawna. This Olde Curiosity Shoppe paper is really the perfect thing to use to make an altered tin. I used some of the same techniques as I did with my last altered tin. I fussy cut many of the items in the cover image, embossed them with clear embossing powder, and popped them up. I also moved one drawer down a level and the other up to create dimennsion. After covering with paper I added hinges and a latch. I covered the screw holes with some tiny little brass findings.

Inside I made another tiny book. I included some old watch part vials and some new vials. My favorite cover image was the jar with insects in it so I glued some tiny fussy cut butterflies in the largest vial. Instead of using the cork, I added a marble as a stopper. This along with the book and the nailheads on the hardware are my favorite details. The copper phone and shell came from my favorite vintage jewelry findings place here in Providence. The open box on the right side is another tiny tin. The round brown box held olde watch parts.

Thanks for looking. I appreciate your comments.
