Here's my take on sketch #1 - LOVE the original by boysmama. I saw that cute sleepin' kid and all I could think of was the picture I got of my family's dog Ziggy sleeping peacefully on Christmas morning. I kinda borrowed page placement, but at the end, there wasn't too much I lifted from boysmama's layout - it just inspired me to scrap something hard for me.

This page was so difficult for me to put any journaling on. This is Ziggy, the dog my family adopted when I was twelve years old - he's now 15+ years old. He's blind, deaf and a grumpy old man, but he still loves to play and he still recognizes me by smell after all these years. All of Christmas day, this was the pose he chose to hold. It was tough for me to say goodbye to him because I just don't think I'll see him again. Here I am crying all over again...what can I say, I'm a sentimental softie with a really BIG soft spot for my pets.

Thanks for taking a look :)
