I think this is one of your prettiest pocket letters Elizabeth and that is saying something since you have so many lovelies. Love these soft colors and beautiful details.
Hello Elizabeth, these pockets are amazing! Your shabby-chic is so right on! Beautiful work and with so many textures too~ Soo pretty. Loving the faux stitch-work and elegant embel's! So sorry about the mail - *sigh, one never knows~
Oh I am so sorry. All your hard work but I bet Robin can fix it good as new. She is pretty talented. LOVE all the vintage and especially...pink! I looked at the list of supplies and I feel dumb. I don't know what some of them do. Embossing enamels??? Hahaha! You did a wonderful job on this.
This is a beautiful PL. I must let you know, my brother works for the postal system, and they are NOT incompetent, careless or EVIL really??? I read this to him and he told me to tell you packages do get damaged in transport sometimes due to deliveries and sometimes a package falls into a danger zone not meant to be damaged. Please respect our postal system and the hard working people who do the best that they can considering the millions of packages sent each day. I thought this is a hurtful comment to the hard work my brother Tim does every day for hours and it is not an easy job like people think. Sorry to be so critical P.S. he said that is why we have insurance
Beautiful Elizabeth! You put so much time and love in each of your pockets!! I look at mine you sent me and I am still in awe of your detailed work. It meant so very much to me you sent it. It's a treasure!
Each pocket is amazing! So many gorgeous touches. The colors and prints are just beautiful! Magnificent job on this stunning gift for our dear friend Robin!
Oh my gracious girl, I think this is one of my favorite PL's of yours. What a treasure fore our Robin to enjoy. To many wonderful pieces to pick a fave! I am sorry that it was not received in the way it was sent!:(((((
This is the pocket letter I made for Robin for this month's swap hosted by Rebecca. I chose the Shabby Chic theme.
Robin said when she received this, several of the pockets were out of it and her name and a butterfly were completely off the side. I had it all wrapped and taped in tissue paper, padded with a few extras I sent, in a padded envelope and wrote on the envelope Please Do Not Bend. The only way any of those pockets got out of their pocket pages was to literally shake it up and down or fold it back and forth. She also said there was a hole in the middle of the envelope!! I glued her name and those butterflies on the side down with reliable glue!!! Okay, rant over!!
I used Paper Studio's Blanc Boutique for the bottom of the pockets and Stamperia Dream on top of that. Pocket 1 - I stamped the frame using Hero Arts Clings Floral Frames using TH Broken China and clear embossing powder, Reneabouquets Cherub, clothespin embellie from Donna (Bonprof).
Pocket 2 - Key from Aliexpress, butterflies (Reneabouquets) from Donna, glitter glass from now closed Gone Artsy.
Pocket 3 - Prima stencil using Finnabair white crackle texture paste, metal butterfly from Brandy Johnson (FB swap partner) and I used liquid pearls to color it up and beautiful beads from Reneabouquets, as well as BBoard flourish.
Pocket 4 - Stamp embossed Gabi's Postcard from Paris (49 and Market), Teal Chunky Glitter Glass (Reneabouquets) from Carri (Caletts), lace from Melissa (Stackhouse) and pendant from Walmart
Pocket 5 - An old house key I altered
Pocket 6 - Frame I painted using Ranger Patina Sandstone (love that look), button from Walmart and prills from Carri, lace from Gone Artsy
Pocket 7 - Tag from Donna, wings and arrow from HL
Pocket 8 - Key I altered with a butterfly and used Patina in Cinnabar and Sandstone, butterfly from Donna (Reneabouquets)
Pocket 9 - Hanger and embellished flag from Donna.
Side - lace from Pamela Joy Boutique, letters are Recollections Alphabet stickers from Brandy (Brandy Lynn), butterflies Reneabouquets.
Thank you to all of you lovely ladies for the wonderful embellishments I've used on this!!
Thank you so much for visiting my gallery!! I've added close-ups of each row to see detail a little better.
