I am always trying new techniques and the Scraptacular Cropping Club gives us a challenge each week to do juts that!!
I created a seahorse stencil with my Cricut then placed it over the background paper to over-stamp around the edge of the stencil. Once I remove the stencil the outline shows of the horses. The sea horse is a TH die cut that primed with gesso, painted/inked with peacock feathers, I added a little frayed burlap at a couple of edges then coated with clear rock candy. Once that was dry I inked the whole surface with grounded espresso and wiped off with a paper towel so the color stayed in the cracks.
Part of the title was cut double layers again with my Cricut, painted with white distress crackle then again with clear rock candy to give it a heavier cracked finish. Frayed burlap was used to ink the letters.
the i is chipboard treated the same as the paper title.
For the gauze I cut two layers then inked one and spritz with water and moshed it around and let it dry, while I did dishes, before adding to may page.
