Here's the story...
A few days ago we found one kitten crying out in the middle of the yard, sitting in the rain...and appearing to be ignored by mommy who was 10 feet or so away. I know she had been out there for at least two hours because at 6:00am I *thought* I heard something, but I couldn't find the source of the sound. A little after 8am I heard it again from the same area, but this time it was lighter out and not raining so my senses weren't impaired!
Anyhow, we thought the little girl was the last of her litter...mommy only had one survive from her last litter. Well, the day after we rescued the kitten mommy started showing signs of not feeling well, wasn't any better the 2nd day, and then yesterday, after the other 5 kittens came wandering out crying, she died (she was half-wild, so there wasn't getting close until she was too far gone to save).
So now we have 6 kittens that still need bottle fed...
Now, who wants to come help feed kittens...and take one home! LOL
(Can anyone guess which one was the first found & had a couple extra days of better feeding??)
