A layout I did for the January Movie Title Challenge. Thanks guys, very fun challenge!

Journaling says: How on earth did I get this title? I never wanted it. Don’t enjoy it. So why? There seems to be two sides to me when it comes to mothering. The one I want, the one I enjoy is the loving, nurturing mother who is doing her best to raise 3 young boys into 3 respectable men. Some days, all is well and I see the humor in raising my boys and enjoy seeing the milestones and understand their meltdowns. Then there are the days that the worrier comes out in me. On those days, I can see my boys slacking in school and instantly see them losing sight of their dreams, becoming a bum and settling for “good enough” when what I want for them is the best. It’s at these times we get The PUNISHER….the one who thinks she can whip them into shape and get them back on track. I too often react out of fear for their future instead of compassion for their present. No, I don’t enjoy it, but yes, sometimes they need it. If nothing else, they will always know I am in their corner and fighting for them, not against them.
