Altered Halloween Barbie And Book Box

I created this project for Carri !!! We both were selected partners for Dawna's, MM swap here on Sbc.
When Carri and I decided on the Altered Barbie, I wanted to create something really special for Carri. This was the first opportunity that I've had her in a swap.
I decided I wanted to Try and capture a Halloween Story that would be cohesive with the barbie.

I purchased a plain barbie for $ 4.00. I went to Tuesday morning and found this book box in a sale bin for $6.00 it was the last one.
I coated with several coats of black gesso, and paint. I then created the front and sides using the metals I found in our. 99 cent store.
I painted her eyebrows, eyelashes, lips, and fingernails. I had to use a magnifying glass, my eyes are old, lol....
I handmade her entire wardrobe, I too, used crystal art beads, the spider necklace and belt buckle were all purchased from art beads. I added chiffon lace to her dress, layers of lace, and purple tulle for her knee highs, lol...
I made her hair bow into a spider pull side flip. I made the hat for the cat, the cauldron was all pulled out of my scrap box.
I also used some remnants of Reanebouquets ( the fence was painted, triple embossed, the bulbs were painted purple to resemble pumpkins, and I'd like to thank Donna, for the wand and Elizabeth for purple beads, they went into the wand)

It was great experience to craft something completely new! Thank you all, for stopping by and taking a look.
