This picture makes me laugh. It looks like DD is shaking her head at us, but actually the sun was in her eyes. Her blue eyes are so sensitive to sunlight. I beg her to wear glasses, but she never does. Today we were at my Cousin's new house. Its gorgeous....as it should be she is an interior designer (and has no kids, yet). We spent the day oohing and ahhing and swimming in the pool. A really great day for everyone.

I knew what I wanted to do for this LO, but got totally stumped on the hearts and splashes. Do I use the shilhouette to cut a stencil, then cut them by hand in different colors? Do I cut the bg and just put paper behind it (also needing a lot of hand cutting)? Finally I decided to fill up a fill cut file of these shapes, then I did a patch work of different papers on two different cutting mats. I only kept the ones that were full pieces (not on the seam of two papers) and then sorted them into stacks, by size and shape. This enabled me to puzzle piece the shapes onto the paper in aesthetically pleasing color patterns. I then had to add the picture and embellies without hiding all the work or the gorgeous BG paper. Luckily, my friend Jen gave me an awesome paper with these mermaids on it. They are so great! Add some gems and ink splatters and voila! Hahah TFL
