Hi everybody! So this is a card made for my "second mom" (some might say my aunt by another grandmother). While her husband was dealing with the aftermath of being attacked in a Wal-Mart parking lot she was having surgery on both her hand. So she spent the next couple weeks with her hands in foam blocks (I honestly can't imagine). Talk about stress for the whole family. I have never seen Jill (her daughter/my sister from another mother) so stressed out. She always plays the strong unshakable type.
ANYWAY, the majority of this is G45's Nature Sketchbook collection. A sheet of Bazzill grasscloth textured cardstock (love love love their cardstock, especially the grasscloth textured paper). Now their paper is not as heavy as thick as some paper, but it is a thin (a little thicker than index style paper) heavy weight paper. Paper weight it s a funny thing...
I used Tim Holtz ink in Vintage Photo, Faded Jeans and Broken China. I distressed the paper in most cases first and then inked. With some of the paper I applied BOTH the Faded Jeans AND the Vintage Photo (loved the final result). The owl is a Button Snap that I got from China (I need to get more if I can find them). I used some clear embossing powder hither and thither and it just totally didn't show. I mean it barely ever showed even when the light hit it. So I took TH's Broken China ink and used a dobber rub over it a little here and there. It created a fantastic effect and I hope I can remember it! Not much else to say! Thanks so much for looking everybody :)
