Hi Friends, This box is for my youngest grandson Cade. This past year his brother and him let me know that they have kept all the handmade cards I've given them over the years. It seemed about time to make them a keepsake box, but at their age, I had to come up with something cool, because I didn't think a paper covered box would do it for them.
I started with a standard wooden book box, stenciled the top for all over texture. Then I piled on gears, cogs, wheels and a clock. I finished it off with a Relics and Artifacts face and wings set. Then I painted everything black and hit the high lights with silver and added some silver prills to add more texture. On the inside, I added black velvet paper and a silver chain to hold the top open. As a final touch I added the paper clay motif on the spine of the book box. Thanks for dropping by and having a look! Hugs ~ Dawna
