I think this came out beautiful, thanks for sharing your struggle with making this card so beautiful and how you accomplished the finished look, love the bird
I love this birthday card, the bird does look dimensional and the background die cut shows him off beautifully. I think you are not used to stepping outside your comfort zone, but this is a beautiful card in my book.
Well, it looks to me like a series of "happy accidents" resulted in a beautiful card! I love the scatterings of pearls and butterflies; your bird turned out gorgeous!!!
I really struggled with this card. The pretty die was given to me by sweet Pam (FritillaryB) and it was the first time I used it.
First, I didn't know whether to cut it out in a color, black or white. I ended up using white with a card base of graduating colors.
I wasn't too crazy with how that looked so I decided to heat emboss the bird to make it stand out. Well, that didn't turn out too good. Then I got this not-so-bright idea to use the baker's tissue over the bird that I used between the paper and die so I cut it out and glued it down. Still didn't like it so I diecut another bird out of the paper that is now what you see! I guess it is acceptable. I still didn't like the white paper so I decided to ink in all the rest of the diecut with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads! I added pearls and Reneabouquets tiny butterflies from Donna (Bonprof) and I decided to just go with that. I guess the bird ended up looking more dimensional. Thank you Pam and Donna!
