My husband built the top for me. It is a panel of the cheapest plywood we could find, he rounded the corners so I wouldn't hurt myself every day ;-( Since the plywood was inexpensive it had a lot of imperfections. I used plaster (a couple of coats) to smooth it off and then paint it white. It is not attached to the Kallax because I wanted to be able to reconfigure if needed. The table top has "legs" made from 2X4 (I think) and attached to the table top but just resting on top of the Kallax. Since the plywood is pretty heavy it is very sturdy. I love having the space in between the top and the Kallax to hide the stuff I need handy but not necessarily want to look at them :-) I hope this helps and thanks for your kind comment.
I love this table! My scrappy friend needs this for her room! I see it's support by 3 Kallax units but where did you get the actual table top and were the little support posts underneath just handcut and put in there? Thanks for sharing. I love your space!
