I've never heard of Crackertown - now I want to go there. How is it that you just moved here and you know all the interesting places - I get my tips from you of what to see around here! You are my local central Florida tour guide! Interesting where the name cracker came from - had no idea what the origins of the word cracker were. Love the way you matted the strip the pictures are on and, as always, I love your punchwork. That just adds so much to your layouts!
Great layout! Love the journaling of the history of the town! Love the punchwork, paper choices, and great photos! Wow, the buildings are made of coral- that is pretty neat!
There is a small town in Florida called Crackertown. It was named for the crackers (pioneer cowboys) who settled in the area. Cracker is not a bad word in Florida. The cowboys "crack the whip" when herding the cows and embrace the term. The town is unique in that the buildings are made from coral rock.
