I never know what to do with the odd and end misc. pictures that just don't seem to work anywhere and are not worth a full page on their own. You really solved the "what to do with" question with your summary pages - I love them!
I always do monthly summary pages in my albums as an overview and to include random odds and ends, if I have any, that won't fit on other LO's. For 2010, I settled on a much, much simpler concept than the themes I used for '08, '09, and '13 because I find I get burned out doing 12 similar elaborate LO's. (You can see the themes I used for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2013, as well as the others for 2010 in my gallery in the Month LO's album.) I am adapting an idea from an old Creating Keepsakes Magazine article for these 2010 monthly LOs.
I've included a selection of photos from the month: my family on Thanksgiving and a group photo from one of dd's school field trips on the left...the new faucet from my guest bath remodel, the Blackhawks 2010 Stanley Cup Championship banner, a close up of dd's All Saint's Day/art project, a squirrel on the side of my house, and a couple views from the glass at a Hawks game on the right. I wrote our schedule/calendar info from the month around the outside edge of the left page. I stuck some movie tickets behind the photo block on the left. I added a couple brads and did some doodled stitching on the circles and around the block on the left. The block on the left also serves as a pocket for a bunch of memorabilia from the month. I had so much, I had to add another brad to keep the pocket attached.
