Made this for a dear friend (& her family) who have lost almost everything they owned from hurricane Michael, in hopes to encourage her. I can't fix houses but I CAN make cards! If you are a praying person, please pray for the Panhandle of Florida. It's been three months now since the storm and MOST buildings haven't been touched for repairs. Pray the insurance companies help all of these people too. My husband and I are very diligent (nagging/detailed) people and our insurance for our properties is STILL dragging their feet. But somehow, in the midst of utter destruction and despair, my husband and I have joy. When we ask each other how the person is doing, the other usually responds with a cheesy "Good Times!" Kids have suffered the most, in my opinion. Schools still have MAJOR damage and some schools are splitting up schools by one school going half a day and another school going another half day. Kids and teachers are trying to educate kids in these rediculous circumstances. And kids and teachers are dealing with sometimes very long commutes and grouchy parents. My daughter's school hasn't had ANY repairs yet except the mold/wet areas being removed. So I just share this because we REALLY need prayer for our area. Thank you in advance.

So...gate is a new die I got at Hobby Lobby (sign is tore up so we locals call it "HOB LOB"), gold stickles on Tim Holtz greenery (LOVE these dies!) which I cut out of vanilla cardstock, scripture printed on computer, inked and distressed everything with 3 inks. Glued flowers, sentiment, cream greenery, and banner down with Multi Medium since I didn't want them coming off. I LOVE this little antique gold crown charm. Not sure where I got it from but wish I had a 1,000! I made the banner by cutting watercolor paper into 1"x8" strips, scoring lines FROM EACH END: 2" then 2 3/4 from each end. I saw it on a YouTube video from Anna Griffin. Hers were a little large for me so I played around and came up with this size. Then I ran the banners through my Tim Holtz 3D embossing folder (LOVE!!!) then inked it to death. Once I got it down how I liked them, I made a ton so I'll have them at the ready.
Anyhoo, hope you guys are having a blessed day! Happy New Year everyone!
Nothin but love,
Debbie
