Started Jan 1st, 2019 and completed Jan 9th. This was a challenge between my mom and I (similar albums, only mine is shown) to use one of the 16 colors we selected predominantly on each page. Additionally we each used a special element on each page; hers was flowers, mine was arrows.
We started doing the New Year's Art Journal Challenge together in January 2018. For that one we had 26 pages so each page had to use elements from the alphabet A to Z. I happened to use a similar element on each page (hot air balloon) as I went along, and so that's where the challenge has evolved from.
This book gives us a lot of creative license and it's a fun activity to do together, so we've decided to continue the tradition and already have ideas for 2020!
