Lo to put in my DGD's scrapbook about her mother.
Thank you to Betsey (meme9) for giving me this beautiful tag when we were in Florida together. It has a 4th of July theme, so with her permission I covered up some of the 4th of July icons. I thought the Julie Nutting doll had hair that looked like my daughter's in 1986. It was probably the only time she ever had a perm.
The journaling tells about the cards Casey wrote:
First of all this photo os Casey was taken in 1987. I couldn't find a good photo of her taken near Decl of 1986.
I kept running across these cards that Casey wrote on Dec. 21, 1986.
I guess she was a little jealous of Doug. He was 8 years older than her so of course she couldn't do the things he did. She stapled about 5 index cards together, but only wrote on two. I think she planned on writing more.
In 1986-87 Casey did play with Barbie dolls. She was not good at playing alone. I played with her. She also had 3 Cabbage Patch dolls. Both Barbie and Cabbage Patch dolls were popular girl toys. She liked "the Heart Family" better than Barbie. The dolls were similiar but were a family with a Mom, Dad, 2 kids and a dog. They had a blue convertible with car seats for the kids.
