Love all the squares and "stitched" borders. My ancestor Gen Harney was mentored by Jefferson Davis as a teen and live down the road after retiring from the Army. Hurricane Camille destroyed "The Dixie Whitehouse" but it was amazing to walk through Beauvoir and see the rooms where he slept, ate and socialized when visiting his life-long friend.

Love this Susan - I thought it was machine or hand stitched until I read in your description that it is doodling! Great job! Love the little pieces of patterned paper. Makes for a lovely page. What an interesting place to see!
