Oh wow is this ever beautiful! Love the tilted frame and the use of the older papers. I enjoyed your journaling - sounds like a nice way to begin a trip.
These are so lovely together Susan! I am crazy about this paper and it looks so cool across both pages. The green is the perfect complimentary accent color. Love all this pink and these flowers are just so southern to me!
Awesome page Susan! I love the green with the corner, and then a continuation of the beautiful background paper with some fussy cutting! These papers just make me think of the old south! I love you journaling too. I knew I was going to learn something in these layouts and I did!
Really love the paper you chose for this - its is beautiful and makes me think of southern mansions! The bow is cute and I love all your little flowers. Cant wait to see more in this series of layouts! I'm I'm betting on some good history lessons to come too!
Beginning of our day at Beauvoir. Used old stash - HOTP kit - pps (except circles and journal spot), ribbon, brads, flowers. Die-cut frames from a RAK
Journal: Page 2 - Our cisit begins at the Museum gift shop where we purchase our tickets - $10 each for seniors. One of the 1st things you see is a ship's bell from the Star of the West. Citadel Cadet fired on the ship as it tried to reach Fort Sumter, effectively beginning the War Between the States. The Star was captured by Confederate forces in Galveston after her historic role in Charleston Harbor. When New Orleans fell she was north of the city & was used by Confederate forces to move troops & supplies. In Grant's 1st attempt at Vicksburg, his forces were stopped at Greenwood, MS when the Star was sunk in the river which gave Vicksburg another year. After buying some postcards we walked to the house for the tour.
