okay... this is such a wonderful portrait of emotion. very touching. oh... "to distract the kids." wow... very powerful. what an incredible thing to think of to do for your sister. that's the first thing i would've thought of, but many people miss that. this is reallllly awesome!
Wow that is beautiful. I never thought of making a scrapbook page about a feeling instead of a picture. I love the frame around the non-photo. Great job.

Oh my goodness.... wow... this is amazing that you were able to get that on paper but wow... my heart breaks for them. I, too, went through that as a child and know what it's like. My prayers will be with them and you.
what a great Layout. Sometimes the journaling is so more important than pictures. But in this case, the empty picture is so telling of all that they lost. My husband is a firefighter, and I can't imagine what this must feel like. It's truly one of my biggest fears.
