This is beautiful and will be a treasured keepsake for this sweet mother. God bless her. Your work is gorgeous and full of love Elizabeth. Your heat embossing is so good, it all looks like real gold metal to me~
A beautiful - and heartfelt - tribute; your choice of papers, the gold details, the scatterings of beads and, most of all, the framing of your photo are perfect...
Elizabeth, this moved my heart just reading what you wrote. I think your friend will be overwhelmed when she sees this beautiful treasure. I love how you did the gates, perfect choice of papers, all so wonderfully created with love!:)
Last year, a very dear church friend lost her daughter to cancer. She asked me to make a layout with her picture and the last conversation they had via text message the night before she passed away. I blotted out the conversation for privacy's sake but it was emotional and touching, to say the least. I hope I did the picture justice with this layout.
I used Blue Fern Studios Garden Life - Felicity paper and thought it was so beautiful, I didn't want to cover it up so I kept embellishments to a minimum. I distressed and folded in the edges so you can barely see that I used a blue paper underneath that matched the blue flowers printed on the BFS paper. It is the same as what I matted Carrie's picture with.
The Cranberry Beautiful Beads (in the flourish), corner pieces and fencing are Beautiful Board from Reneabouquets. I heat embossed them with Zing Gold EP. The cherry blossoms are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The doily die and pearl bling under the picture were from Pamela Joy Boutique on FB.
I added Diamond Stickles to all of the flowers on the paper and in the blooms also. The tiny O Beads were from our now closed Craft Warehouse.
I diecut the flourish at the bottom out of compressed cardboard that was packaging material and heat embossed it as well.
The blue and red papers are from Paper Studio. The paper just under the doily is DCWV's Mariposa Stack 4.5x6.5 pad.
Just above my title tag I stamped the flourish using Sizzix Damask Greetings clear stamp using Versafine that Marylou gave me. (Thank you sweet friend for that stamp pad!)
