In Honor of National Women's Day here is the wonderful Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Ginsburg describes how she got her infamous moniker "Notorious RBG". It was a second year law student at NYU Law School who started the Notorious RGB as a Tumblr. This young woman was,to put it mildly, disappointed by the Supreme Court's decision in the Shelby County case-the decision that held a key part of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 no longer constitutional. She was angry but realized anger was a useless emotion. So,instead of being angry, she would do something positive. The positive thing she did was to put on that blog the announcement of my dissenting opinion in the Shelby County case and then it took off from there. There is so much more that this women and I highly recommend the documentary RBG that was nominated for an academy award but did not win. Check your local library and see if they have the film.
You can see that one of the pictures is of me,I dressed as her for the Academy Awards showing at a local theater and someone said I had the best costume of the night so I guess was worth the sacrifice as going without bangs (which I never do) is not a good look for me. I made my crown using Tim Holtz Advantus metallic craft paper because the gold crown I had was a horrible match for the necklace that I found at a local thrift store for half price. Borrowed the robe from a friend that had kept from when she taught high school drama and it was perfect. I do wish I had put on make-up though. lol
This is for the Sticker, Girl and Scraplift the person before me and that was Doreena's Forest Falls lo.
