In the blink of an eye...that's how fast it happens! I couldn't believe Matthew was 40 this year....and he's my "baby"!!! I love how the simple clean lines and the negative space...really makes the photo pop! I remember that visit...seems like yesterday! Great layout!
Sweet poem, even sweeter photo and what a beautiful page!!! I love the soft colors and patterns; the bit of ricrac, along with the layers of punched edges and doodling are perfect!!!
Poem reads: I hope my son looks back on today and sees a mom who had time to play. Dusting and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow for babies grow up as we've learned to our sorrow. There will be years for cleaning and cooking but children grow up when we're not looking. So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
Journal: January 1985. Joshua was 8 weeks old in this photo. He and I were down in Pensacola visiting with Susan and Butch.
Joshua is our firstborn and I was so happy to finally be a mother! I was 26 years old and thought I was sooooo old... LOL! This "boy" will be 35 this November!!! Where do the years go????
