A.Maz.Ing. This is gorgeous Elizabeth! Your mother is so beautiful!! (Look at the dimple ; ) A vintage-lovely fave. Such beautiful work; everywhere I look~
I don't know where to begin on how much you honored your Mom splendidly. She was a beautiful young lady and scrapped so well. I miss my Mom also, it has been over 30 years now.
What a beautiful picture of your mom! You scrapped a beautiful tribute to her too. I love the blue Stamperia papers, the vintage button trim and the bird house is so amazing! What a gorgeous labor of love!
Wow! This is absolutely gorgeous!!! Your mom too was a beautiful girl, so glad that you found this picture of her. A true treasure, and beautifully scrapped.
What a stunning project! You put so much depth, texture, and detail into your pages they are a joy to look at and examine. The picture of your mom is so sweet. Don't you wish you could have known her when she was a little girl? I just recently discovered Stamperi paper collections. They are amazing!
Everything I see here is so special !! What alot of detail and love has gone into your layout! The beautiful photo of your mom, and the buttons that were hers are so heartwarming.
Ok, where to begin? This beautiful picture of my mom was just recently found and it is one that my siblings and I had never seen before! It was found amongst a box of my father's letters and junk. I figure my mom is about 12 years old here...I'm not really sure, but I fell in love with this picture. The original is a sepia color but printed out, it looked orange so I went with black and white.
I'm sorry to say the photograph of the layout does not do the gorgeous Stamperia Blue Land collection justice. I chose that collection because blue was my mom's favorite color and it went well with the black and white picture.
I did just a bit of stamping on the "wood grain" using Echo Park Darling Damask Background stamp with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans distress ink pad. The paper is so pretty I didn't want to add a lot of embellishments but I do like how this turned out.
Special thanks go to Laura (LauralsAttic) for the lovely handmade ribbon flowers and bow, Jessica (JessE) for the bulb safety pins under the window, and Kelly (KVRLVN) for the Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs die set that I cut 3 out of, two under the ribbon flowers you can't see too well. My mom loved doilies and I stamped one in the center of the upper diecut using TH Walnut Stain and clear embossing powder. I also used the stitches stamps at the top and bottom.
All of the buttons and the lace I used were in mom's button tin and are pretty old. The sweet yellowish butterflies, Midnight Magic Beautiful Beads and gorgeous Beautiful Board pieces are from Reneabouquets. I embossed all the BBoard pieces with Stampendous Shabby White EP. The white gypsophila is from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I was going to title this layout Mary Elizabeth until I found this TH Quote Chip "In My Heart" and felt that was so perfect for this layout, because my mom is always in my heart and missed every day.
Thank you so much for visiting my gallery, voting and leaving feedback. I appreciate you all so much!
