There is a very long story behind this layout, but I decided to give you the condensed version. In the picture was my dear and best friend in the early 80's until her death in March, 1992, and her little girls. When I married my husband in 1982, we lived in the home I grew up in in Fresno, CA. He decided he wanted to move back to Washington state so after four months of marriage we did. We lived with his mom and dad for a couple of years and Ann lived down the canyon from Ma and Pa. She had heard about me so she came up for a visit. She was originally from England and had the coolest accent and her smile and upbeat cheerful attitude were contagious. We became fast friends and it was wonderful, especially because I knew no one other than my in-laws. We had lots in common, both loved to sew and craft. Elements I used on this layout are just a tiny portion of what I wanted to put on it but I didn't have the space, so I put the most important items.

First, Ann LOVED hearts. She loved tea (being English) and had an English High Tea party one time for all her lady friends, which were many. She made all sorts of finger foods, desserts and hors d'oeuvres for the party. She was so talented with her cooking, sewing and crafting. She loved strip quilting and cutwork. She canned, she loved roses and her favorite colors were pink, mauve, "dusky" rose as she called it (dusty rose) and Wedgewood blue. For this layout I used the last full sheet of my Stamperia Dream paper collection because the colors were perfect. The two butterflies that I fussy cut were from Stamperia's Shabby Rose collection. I added glitter glass and Stickles to bling them up a bit.

Okay, special thanks go to:

Donna (Bonprof) for the lovely teapot, teacups, embellished Mason jar, intricate heart on the left diecut, tiny butterflies, bottlecap with the rose in it and the silver spoon (also from Reneabouquets).
Laura (Lauralsattic) for the lace under the large heart, the doily with the hearts around the edge (top left), and the "remember" diecut.
Carri (Caletts) for the Wow! Vintage Peacock embossing powder I used on the bottom tea cup and the delicate heart diecut over the sewing machine tag.
Lisa (Iluvcats) for the lace diecut at the bottom which looks like a pretty lace tablecloth to me.
Brandy Lynn for the little gold clothespin holding the Tea Time tag.
Lois (Granny2One) for the pretty label diecut at the top.
Yvonne (Euroalien) for the pretty pink pearl strands and pearls under the "favorite memories" stamp.

The lace in either corner was from scraps of my wedding dress.

Other Reneabouquets products are the Cranberry Beautiful Beads in the spoon, Beautiful Board corner pieces, dove, large heart (from Kay Hafen on FB for a Reneabouquets Valentine swap, Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing powder I used on a teacup and metal scissors in the top left. I toned them down a bit with Bisque Liquid Pearls.

I painted the large heart with Finnabair Mica Powder in Vintage Pink mixed with water. I then tapped it with Versamark and used Zing Clear EP because that mica powder rubs right off.

The lovely flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.
The sewing machine card is Blue Fern Studios - Calling Cards.

On the teapot and teacups I used my Versamark pen so I could have better control using different colors of embossing powder.

The large flower is from Aliexpress and reminded me of the cutwork Ann used to do.

"Favorite Memories" stamps are from Gabrielle Pollacco and the Scrapbook Diaries.

I made this layout for Ann's oldest daughter, Colleen, on the left in the picture.

Thank you very much for visiting my gallery. Your continued support is so appreciated.
