As we left Malaga, the captain informed us that a huge weather system had formed in the Atlantic and surges over 40 feet were expected in the Canaries, so–we were not going to the Canaries, our course was changed to more southerly. But they expected to dock San Juan as scheduled. We appreciated the decision but were disappointed as we had never visited the Canaries. And, we had eight straight sea days. They added activities, but we were certainly glad to see San Juan!
