Awww...good for him. It's so hard to save up money at that age, at any age really. You must be so proud of him! I love how you are able to scrap those everyday moments that will be so much fun to look back on when he gets older.
The red, black and white colour scheme (Holden colours of course)just jumps out at you....its fantastic. I love that you have scrapped a page to commemorate Hughie's first adventure into saving up for something special. He will always know that you encouraged him in this very important.....but oh, so hard, lesson for life. Great effort Hughie and great lo to remember it by Helen.
Great job Helen! (And Hughie too) I love that he saved all of his money in the empty TP roll! CLASSIC! What a good job he did with setting and REACHING his goal! Great design too mom!
Super lo Helen!!! Love the red, white & black, very striking!! Hughie does look proud of himself....& so he should be, saving can be a hard thing to do!!!! This is a great lo & a wonderful achievement to remember!!
The photos are adorable! He just looks so proud of himself. That is a hard thing for a child to do but also a good lesson. He knows it worth the saving know! -
I know what you mean about missing him when he starts school. When Joseph first started I would pace the floor until time to go get him. But started to work fulltime latter and that was even worse. When I start scrapping his younger years you will cringed at the things little boys get into!!!!!! I bet Katie will miss him for a while until she discovers she has all of mommies attention for a little while!!
Hubby left this morning on his trip. I hope to get a lot of stuff done while he is gone!!!Thank goodness he will be back Friday night.
Have a good rest of the week.
Wow, I'm proud of Hughie too! I don't even have the ability to save like he does! Great layout; I love the pictures- he looks so proud, and I also really like the cool design and colors- they are just perfect to emphasize the car. Great job, Hughie, and another fabulous layout, Helen!!!
Way to go, Hughie! That is sooo hard to do....to save up and have to wait for something you really want!! There are many adults who can't do that!! Good for you!! Great LO, Helen! What a wonderful memory to perserve....something Hughie can always be very proud of!!!
I am so happy when I get to do a LO of my boy! I am happy with this one and so proud of his saving ability! TFL!
Text reads: Every Friday at shopping you would ask for things - as all children do. So I started giving you $2 that you could spend on anything you wanted. The $2 Shop became your favourite place! When I planted the idea of actually saving up for something you decided on a minature V8 Supercar - number 22 Todd Kelly of course! I was so proud of you saving for so many weeks. Well done Hughie!
And the arrow reads: kept your fortune in an empty toilet roll!
