My Mom asked me to make a It's A Girl Card for a friend of hers who is due in May. Because the birth date is yet unknown, I made the calendar for the month of May and my Mom will have to glue the heart on the date of birth once the baby is born. I used re-positional scotch tape to hold the heart in place when taking the pictures.

Under the calendar page, as you lift it as you would do with a calendar page, it's the card's sentiment but it is in Romanian and I did not see any use in taking of picture of it, as well.

I used papers from different paper collections that I found in my stash. Since they were left overs from past projects I cannot recall the name of the paper collections.

With the exception of the baby shoe which was cut using a die by Joy!crafts entitled "Bille's Baby Shoes" the rest of the card and box have been personally designed and cut using Sizzix Eclips2 electronic cutter machine.

I wanted to give the card a wow factor by giving some the pieces a "floating" look and you will notice that the baby bottle and pacifier are assembled without being attached directly to the top and the bottom of the cube they sit in. I achieved this look by using invisible sewing thread. Also, once I did this, physics also came into place and when handling the card the pieces also swivel in place. This is not visible in the pictures, but it was a nice and unexpected surprise.

The baby shoe is raised from the back and only the tip is glued down to the bottom of the cube. Here I wanted to create that look you would sometimes see shoes in a store window arrangement.

Hope you like it and thank you for your time to look at my project.
