Shoot thru the heart!! Guilty!! But it's not papers for me, it's gadgets!! I must get it under control too. Thank you for sharing. Great page by the way!!
Beautiful journalling! Your layout is amazing- great lines and fabulous use of space. Good luck with this goal... and thank you- it is good to be reminded!
Oh, wow....I soooo needed to hear this!!! My stash is so horrifically out of control that had to go through my paper stash yesterday and no kidding...I bet I am giving away about 1000 sheets of 12x12 paper...If I want it, I buy it and then wonder why my kids want everything in sight...this layout is wonderful...love the colors, the design, and the title!!!!
SELF-CONTROL, a concept we preach regularly to our children but why should they if Mom doesn’t have much? My scrapbook stash is quite immense! If there is a new tool or paper or stamp set that I want I get it. No questions asked, no justification necessary. I guess that is one of the privileges we have as an adult but what are we teaching our children? As a parent I’m always telling them you can’t have everything you want. So why do I get everything I want? These are reasonable questions that truly cannot be answered. I can say I deserve them I work hard and I do but I do not NEED everything I have. I do need to learn to calm down, be happy with what I have, use what I have, and in the process show my children thru my actions that you don’t have to have everything you want! This is a life lesson that can be taught in no other manner than by example. This will allow my children to be happy content adults who will learn to be happy with what they have and hopefully live within their means. I vow from this day forth to begin to teach my children that more is not better.
