Hidden journaling - As always, hubby is by my side and sharing my passion! The week before my accident, he even upgraded his bike so he could keep up with me. It took almost 2 years before I could ride, but oh what a beautiful ride it was! Jamestown Settlement and Museum was mile marker 0. After touring the settlement, we changed clothes and did a short ride to mile marker 10 and then returned. We had to beat Hurricane Matthew and leave Williamsburg early the next morning. We got stuck in Charlotte on the way back due to horrific storms. We're looking forward to going back and completing all 70 miles of the trail."
I want to give a big shout out of thanks to nrj007 for the beautiful flower, Gentlewood Farms for the great off white embossing powder, Betsye Rose for the Life is a beautiful ride stamp, dawna's place for the ribbon and super kudos to Sewflake for all her encouragement with "fixes" with a baby wipe for my tag. I used gesso to stencil the roses, but it was so white and too blue even after I inked it with TH Antique Linen and Peacock Feathers. A quick swipe with the wipe and reversed order of inks, a little sanding and added chalks and luv the effect!
My MISTI was key to getting the stamping done just right. The bottom TPC stamp was in several rows, but I was able to piecemeal it across the bottom.
The tag was planned for my page, but it looks so much better on his! Used the G45 Off to the Races papers, layers of inking, lots of punching and dies.
