You have to remind me to try this. Great composition, not just in alternating the pp and the photo blocks, but in taking the entire grid and centering on plain cardstock so that it has a framed patchwork quilt effect. Another aspect of the composition that makes it so good is the left to right diagonal placement of the quote, chipboard monogram, and ribbon embelly. Then, so that it's not too busy, the right to left diagonal only highlights the pp. I must have those rub-ons!
I kid you not, this went into my favs! I love everything about this! Painting on pics? Whew, that would be a hard one for me but i'm gonna have to try it cuz i love this affect!
Robyn you did SUCH a good job. Love the grid, the colors, the combination of patterned papers and the placement of the rubons!
Did you paint on the photos? {I did that last weekend for my Christmas layout which I am posting this weekend btw} Cause it's a great touch!
I LOVE this. I really like the ribbon is just round the one box and is that paint or chalk round the edges? And the pics and quote are sooo cute! Great job
I obviously chose to use Erica's 3 elements. Ribbon, rub-ons and a chipboard monogram. The square in the top/left corner is covered with a vellum quote that says "Girls are giggles with curls on top". Bottom right is red velvet ribbon with letter buckles in an antique finish that read "sunshine" (her nickname).
