This is an altered cigar box I made for Gerry for the swap hosted by Laura (LauralsAttic) here on sb.com. I apologize for all the pictures but figured it would take less time to post them all here instead of individually.

I tried to incorporate some yellow since that is one of Gerry's favorite colors. I changed out the closure and hinges, from HL and used patina to match my chosen color scheme.

I first painted the box edges with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Paint to make it a pale yellow. Papers are G45's Princess Collection. I used the beautiful Prima Iris Tapestry stencil first with Finnabair Texture White Crackle Pase. After that dried, I inked the edges of the top layer with TH Worn Lipstick and then softened the edges with water and used my fingers to make a pie crust edge. Butterflies are Reneabouquets. I handmade the large flower copying one of my favorites from last year (that I have yet to part with). The small doily under the button was white and I heat embossed it using Zing Gold EP. The TH corner pieces were painted up with Ranger Patina in Antique Gold and Antique Linen Distress Paint.

The little bulb pin was from Jessica (thank you)! Cameo, vial and key from HL. In the vial I used layers of TH Antique Linen Distress Glitter, Reneabouquets gold microbeads and Champagne Blend from now closed Gone Artsy.

The yellow trim around the box was from Debbie Kravec. Thank You!

Thank you all so much for visiting my gallery!!
